Tan Cang - Nhon Trach start operating under Inland Container Depot (ICD) model from June 2016 following to undertaking of the Saigon New Port Corporation and the Board of Directors of the Tan Cang logistics company, upgrade existing Nhon Trach berth become Tan Cang – Nhon Trach ICD import and export goods hub, connecting Nhon Trach areas with Tan Cang - Cat Lai, Tan Cang -Hiep Phuoc, Tan Cang - Cai Mep deep-water port. From founded to the present, under the direction of Directors of Tan Cang Logistics company, issued policies to support timeliness, ICD Tan Cang - Nhon Trach ICD has gradually come into operation, quality of the next month was higher than prior month.
At present, the output of import-export containers through ICD is over 12,000 TEUs / per month, the output of bagged rice stuffing/unstuffing is over 1,500 TEUs /per month, the output of bulk cargoes is more than 10,000 tons / per month.
Tan Cang - Nhon Trach ICD has convenient location at Phu Thanh Commune, Nhon Trach District, Dong Nai Province , with total areas: 11ha, 160m berth length, 2 fixed quayside cranes - Liebherr with reaching of 29,5m, lifting force of 35-40 tons, 2 dual conveyors, 2 RMG 13+1 cranes ,03 laden reach stackers and 02 empty reach stackers, design capacity 150.000 teus/year.
Customers at Nhon Trach and Dong Nai areas more and more trusted and using services Tan Cang - Nhon Trach ICD, as some of traditional customers and now become diamond, platinum, gold level of Sai Gon New Port Corporation such as : Formosa, Hyosung, Texthong, Vedan, Hualon through transporters such as: KCTC, Au Chau, Hoang Hong Anh, YJC, Mai Thanh, Kien Vang.

For shipping lines, since its establishment to present , ICD has opened the code of 14 major shipping lines such as: KMTC, OOCL, Wanhai, Evergreen, SITC, MOL, SNK, HEUNG-A, CKL, COSCO, HASCO, ASE (VICONSHIP), TSL, ZIM meet demand drop on/off empty containers at Tan Cang - Nhon Trach ICD. At 2017, ICD continue negotiations to open more code of the shipping lines NYK, K’line, CMA, MAERSK, YANGMING, RCL, Namsung, that customers in the Nhon Trach area are currently in need of containers, in order to diversify the amount of empty containers all the lines to meet customer requirements.
Having above success, thanks to the attention and timely guidance of the Saigon Newport Corporation as well as the support of Directors of Tan Cang Logistics in making the appropriate policies to encourage customers use the service in the ICD as Saigon Newport Corporation issued a policy No.918/TCT-KHKD for transportation services of containers between Tan Cang - Nhon Trach ICD and Cat Lai Terminal and policies No.2297/TCT-KHKD for transportation services of containers between Tan Cang - Nhon Trach ICD and the Tan Cang - Hiep Phuoc Terminal. Besides, the company also issued policies on reducing by 50% the ICD prevailing tariff of laden container lisf on/off in order to encourage customers to direct delivery cargo/containers at Tan Cang - Nhon Trach ICD.
In addition to traditional services such as container depot operation, container handling, cargo's stuffing/ unstuffing, weighing service, container transporation by waterway/land, customs clearance services. In 2017, based on the survey of customer demand in Nhon Trach area, ICD has invested in the warehouse construction of 3,000 m2 of first-stage and 3,000 m2 of second-stage and loading and unloading services, stuffing/unstuffing services, bagged fertilizer import and export management at ICD with an average output of 30,000 tons / year phase 1 and 50,000 tons / year phase 2.
